Foundation Skills for Surgical Educators - 1 day Workshop

Mandatory professional development requirement for surgeons involved in training and education

Run by Royal Australasian College of Surgeons

The Foundation Skills for Surgical Educators is an introductory course to expand knowledge and skills in surgical teaching and education and is mandatory for surgeons involved in training and education.

The aim of the course is to establish the basic standards expected of our surgical educators. The course will further knowledge in teaching and learning concepts and look at how these can be applied into the participants own teaching context. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their own personal strengths and weaknesses as an educator and explore how they are likely to influence their learners and the learning environment.

This course entitles participants to 6 CPD points.

Date:  Friday 28 April, 2017 from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Location:  Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre - 305 Grattan Street, Melbourne  Victoria  3000, Level 7, Room 7B.

Cost:   Free
