Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching Scholarships

All cancer health professionals employed with the VCCC allied partners are invited to apply for a 50% fee remission award to support enrolment in the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching with the University of Melbourne.

Designed to broaden the skills of professionals who deliver clinical education, this one-year part time course hones transferable skills and knowledge to make teaching more efficient, enjoyable and effective. Among a stimulating peer group, this practical and immersive award course will allow you to achieve the same excellence in your teaching as in your clinical work.

* Effective Clinical Supervision

* Assessing Clinical Learning

* Clinical Education in Practice

Objectives:

On successful completion, you will be able to:

• Understand the principles of effective clinical teaching, learning and   assessment

• Critically analyse research underpinning clinical teaching

• Prepare and deliver effective, efficient and appropriate clinical teaching in a variety of settings

• Understand the academic basis of effective clinical teaching.

Cost:

Total cost - $11,300 

50% fee remission from VCCC - $5,650

Contribution from student’s organisation - $5,650

The University of Melbourne offers staff and their immediate families a discount of up to 25 percent on tuition fees for the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching. Completed forms should be uploaded in the supporting documentation section of the online application.

Delivery model

1 year – 2 subjects per semester

Students are able to select two delivery models each semester. A full day workshop on every third Wednesday for four weeks, or an intensive four-day program.
