The VCCC alliance want to do more and better research, increase the number of clinical scientists, and develop, recruit and retain the best people.

The Leaders in Cancer Strategy program highlights the key role of the University of Melbourne in the alliance. Through the program, 19 academic appointments – 12 Chairs and seven academic fellowships – have been made. These positions support the retention and development of research talent in key cancer disciplines.
